Local historian and researcher Sharon Pang explores Enatai and the unique history around it’s origins, school, and community. Join us for an in depth look at this unique part of Bellevue!
By looking at slides of rare and never-before-seen photos of Bellevue and “old school” Enatai, you’ll journey from 1880s Bellevue, through the City’s 1950s boom town era, up to its current-day transformation. You’ll discover how early Enatai families pooled resources to support their public schools – a tradition that endures today. Plus, you will find out what went into the design and opening of the original 1953 school building, a model of mid-Century modern architecture.
In compliance with King County public health regulations, people participating in activities at Bellevue community centers, recreation facilities, and environmental education visitor centers are required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result.
